The ShurIQ Gap Radar

Five conversations the foundation isn’t having, between topics that should be talking to each other. Thicker arcs are more critical. The pulsing arc with the crawling dash is the biggest gap: AGDF is not among the cancer-prevention, HPV-vaccination, or health-equity funders, where its hold on the screening workforce is unmatched. Hover any arc to read what would close that gap.

WHAT TO LOOK FOR

Five conversations the foundation isn’t having. Two are critical. All five come down to one thing: AGDF has the dentists, but has never described them in the language funders pay for.

Two of the five arcs ride at severity 9. The first, the focal arc with the crawling dash, is AGDF being absent from three funder categories entirely: cancer prevention, HPV vaccination, and health equity. AGDF is missing from the cancer, HPV, and health-equity conversations that fund prevention. It is not competing with other dental foundations at all. The second severity-9 arc connects the dental-foundation funder pool to five non-dental funder pools where AGDF’s hold on the screening workforce is unmatched. Three smaller arcs show what follows. The oral-cancer conversation is happening without AGDF. AGDF treats its 40,000 dentists as a contact list when they could be its donors and advocates. And the credibility signals a non-dental funder checks are missing or stale.
